Course of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies

A course organized by the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies - WFNS Course Varna 2016 was carried out for the first time in Bulgaria in the period May 19th – 21st 2016 in SPA Hotel “Romance Splendid” in “Saints Constantine and Helena” Resort. The Southeast Europe Neurosurgical Society (SEENS) and the Bulgarian Neurosurgical Society were co-organizers of the event with the support of the Medical University of Varna and University Hospital “St. Marina”. Leading international specialists in the field of neurosurgery from Germany, Italy, France, Japan, Russia, Turkey, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Thailand and Bulgaria were lecturers at the forum. The course was aimed at popularizing the newest trends in pediatric neurosurgery, neuro-oncology, functional neurosurgery, pathology of peripheral nerves and spinal neurosurgery. More than 110 students, postgraduates and specialist in neurosurgery from Bulgaria and abroad took part in the event. Pictures by Petko Momchilov
