MU-Varna Trains the First in Bulgaria Specialized Counterterrorism Teams

The country's first International Workshop on Counterterrorism, organized in the sea capital - Varna by the Medical University of Varna, represented by the Rector Prof. Krasimir Ivanov in cooperation with the Embassy of Israel in Bulgaria represented by the IsraeliAmbassador his Excellency Shaul Raz Khamis was opened today, June 16, 2014. Speakers and consultants on the unique event are seven leading experts from Israel, including the director of the Specialized Institute of Counterterrorism in Herzliya, Israel - Boaz Ganor, and deputy director of the Institute - Eitan Azan. Among the speakers are five heads of medical counter-terrorist units in university hospitals "Hadassa" in Jerusalem and "Maimonides" in Haifa.
