Assoc. Prof. M.Pharm. Evgeni Grigorov, a lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy at MU-Varna, took part at the Annual Assembly of the European Industrial Pharmacists Group (EIPG) in the city of Budapest, Hungary, from 24th to 26th May 2019, where he presented Bulgaria and the development of the medication policy in our country over the last year.
During the plenary sessions, the main focus of the lectures and the discussions was the Falsified Medicines Directive and, in particular, the medication verification process, which has been launched in the greater part of the EU countries.
The current overview of the development of the processes of change in the paradigm of pharmaceutical education, presented by Prof. Claude Farrugia, President of EIPG, also provoked huge interest among the participants, all of whom shared the view that competencies, related to practising the profession of “Industrial Pharmacist” need to be incorporated in the training curricula as well.
