The XVI International Congress of Medical Sciences for students and young physicians (ICMS 2017) will be held in the period 11th - 14th May 2017. The event will be organized by the Association of Medical Students in Bulgaria and will take place in Medical University - Sofia.
This year the Congress will have the motto "Breaking the barriers of science, transforming medicine" and will be aimed at placing the emphasis on innovations in medicine and the care for the patient.
In the framework of the Congress students and young physicians will have the opportunity to present their research and scientific developments in on of the following fields - therapy, surgery, pre-clinincal studies, dental medicine and public health as well as to compete with their colleagues for best oral and poster presentation.
The Congress is traditionally attended by internationally reknown specialists in the field of medicine. This year three of them will be: Prof. Robert Thomas (Oncology Consultant at Cambridge University), Prof. Gianni Angelini (University of Bristol, Head of Cardiac Surgery in the National Heart and Lung Institute) and Doctor Rebecca Spencer (The EVERREST Project, University College London).
All students of Medical University - Varna are invited to take part in the international event by presenting their scientific developments in the field of medical sciences and attending the workshops and meetings with guest lecturers and colleagues from all over the world.
