An information and prevention campaign entitled Smile for Life is to be held for the fourth consecutive year in Varna. Organizers of the initiative are the Association of Students of Dental Medicine - Varna, together with the Faculty of Dental Medicine, the Student Council at Medical University - Varna, the Association of Medical Students in Bulgaria and the Association of Students of Pharmacy in Varna.
World Oral Health Day (WOHD) is celebrated globally every year on 20 March. It is an international day to celebrate the benefits of healthy mouth and the importance of good oral health throughout life.
The campaign, which will be held on 18 and 19 March 2017 this year, aims to promote, create and raise oral health awareness of Varna citizens. The students are going to distribute information leaflets, and everyone involved in the campaign is going to win special gifts. Students will carry out survey among the citizens and will acquaint them with the methods and means of maintaining good oral hygiene.
Every year the initiative is a huge success, involving thousands of Varna citizens. This year it will be conducted as follows:
