UMHAT "St. Marina" - Varna with Excellent Accreditation Assessment

Pursuant to Order № RD-17-8 / 25.01.2018 by the Minister of Health Mr. Kiril Ananiev, on the grounds of Art. 89 of the Medical Establishments Act and Ordinance No. 18 of 2005 on the criteria, indicators and methods for accreditation of medical establishments, and a Decision of the Accreditation Council (Protocol № 10 / 12.12.2017), University Hospital "St. Marina" - Varna has received an Excellent Accreditation Assessment for the entire scope of medical activities for a five-year term.

The excellent evaluation empowers University Hospital "St. Marina" - Varna to provide practical training for students in the professional fields of Medicine, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy, Health Care and Public Health, as well as to conduct postgraduate training for Master Doctors for the acquisition of specialties: Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, Virology, Internal Diseases, Gastroenterology, Breast Surgery, Pediatric Gastroenterology, Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolism Diseases, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Clinical Hematology and Oncology, Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Pneumology and Phthisiatrics, Pediatric Rheumatology, Pediatric Surgery, Endocrinology and Metabolism Diseases, Infectious Diseases, Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Clinical Immunology,  Laboratory Immunology, Clinical Laboratory, Clinical Hematology, Skin and Venereal Diseases, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Medical Genetics, Medical Oncology, Microbiology, Neurosurgery, Nervous System Disorders, Nephrology, Nuclear Medicine, Diagnostic Imaging, General and Clinical Pathology, Paediatrics, Pneumology and Phthisiatrics, Psychiatry, Rheumatology, Forensic Medicine, Vascular Surgery, Urology, Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Surgery, Orthopedics and Traumatology, Pediatric Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry and Occupational Diseases. The hospital received an excellent assessment also for the postgraduate education of Master Doctors in Dental Medicine for acquiring the specialty of Oral Surgery, of Master Pharmacists for acquiring the specialty of Clinical Chemistry, for postgraduate education for acquiring the specialty of Clinical Chemistry for higher non-medical specialists in Chemistry, Biochemistry and Biology, Clinical Psychology for graduates in Psychology, and Laboratory Immunology for biologists, biochemists, molecular biologists and biotechnologists, as well as postgraduate education for persons with professional qualification in a medical profession from the professional field of Health Care for acquiring the specialty of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care for nurses and midwives.

This is a well-deserved assessment for the management of University Hospital "St. Marina" and for the daily efforts and expertice of the doctors and medical specialists at the biggest and state-of-the-art hospital in Eastern Bulgaria, and this will lead to the sustainable development of the medical establishment.
