From 7th to 9th of October 2013 a National meeting of the Erasmus coordinators and Institutional Bologna advisors took place in Sofia. The participants in the workshops discussed topics, related to the trends in the Erasmus program development. The new "Erasmus Plus" program 2014-2020 was presented to the coordinators. The program will provide additional opportunities for inclusion of new countries worldwide. The main purposes of the new program are: mobility for education, training, youth and sport, international strategic partnerships and support for educational policies.
The network on education systems "Eurydice" and the program "Study visits" were presented on the meeting. The coordinators became acquainted with the new system for administration of the mobility "Mobility tool".
The Institutional Bologna advisors discussed the following topics: "Learning mobility and employment" and "Impact of the Bologna Process in Bulgaria."
It is clear that the mobility and the general criteria for quality of education will be in the focus of the next program period.
Medical University - Varna was represented at the meeting by a team led by the Vice - Rector for International Cooperation, accreditation and quality - prof. Todorka Kostadinova - Institutional Erasmus Coordinator.
Our university continues the work towards the establishment and development of its modern European vision. For the past year we increased the mobility with more than 50%.
