Breast cancer is the most common cancer disease among women in Bulgaria. It constitutes about 30% of cancer diseases in women in the European Union member countries, and it is the reason for 32% of deaths in people with cancer. In Bulgaria, about 3800 women are diagnosed with breast cancer annually, and unfortunately, about 1200 die from this disease.

The most reliable way to prevent breast cancer is mammography examination on both breasts. Thus, the disease can be detected at its initial stage. And its early detection guarantees its treatment.
