The Faculty of Pharmacy Presented MU- Varna at Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Days 2019

More than 700 representatives of the academic community, master pharmacists, pharmacy students, representatives of the pharmaceutical business and health professionals, took part in the 13th edition of the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Days. One of the most important events in the calendar of the professional organisation of the Master - Pharmacists in Bulgaria was held from 21st to 23rd June 2019. For the first time the forum has been organized in the beautiful natural environment of the first mountain resort in Bulgaria and in the Balkans, Borovets Resort.

The focus of this year's edition of the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Days was the adoption of new rules for good pharmaceutical practice, validation and implementation of the Code of the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Union for conduct in retail trade in medicinal products in accordance with Art. 40, § 1 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679. The Scientific Programme of the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Days also included a variety of other important topics for the pharmaceutical community in our country, such as the specifics of the professional communication in the pharmacist’s practice, as well as a workshop addressing the stress management strategies at the workplace.

Within the framework of the forum, a specialised exhibition was set up, at which the Faculty of Pharmacy presented Medical University - Varna and the opportunities for applying, training, specialisation and career development in the pharmaceutical science and practice. Members of the Faculty academic staff at the Faculty and students traditionally promoted the upcoming Sixth Varna Pharmaceutical Business Forum in the Pharmaceutical Environments. Representatives of students from MU - Varna also took advantage of the opportunity to collect herbs during the botanical eco tour, organised by Ch. Assist. Prof. Dzhenny Cherneva.


Furthermore, the first dietary supplement with the logo of MU – Varna Entenar+, developed jointly by a team from the Faculty of Pharmacy and the pharmaceutical company Natstim EOOD, was presented at the exhibition. The Еntenar+ formulation includes plant extracts, rich in biologically active substances that alleviate the symptoms of gastrointestinal disorders of different origins.
