MU-Varna Has Welcomed International Prospective Students from More than Ten Countries during the Open Door Days 2019

The first Open Door Day for 2019 for international prospective students at MU-Varna was held on 12th April. The event focused the interest of visitors from Germany, Austria, England, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Greece, Cyprus and Bulgaria.

The future medics were greeted with "Welcome" by Prof. Dr. Albena Kerekovska, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs. They met some of their future lecturers and current international students, who showed them around the University facilities. The guests had the opportunity to explore one of the most valuable museum Anatomy collections in the country, to observe human anatomy through modern 3D technology, and to get acquainted with virtual microscopy.

Besides the Rectorate building, the perspective students also visited the Faculties of Dental Medicine and Pharmacy, and had the opportunity to look around the University Dental Centre, as well as the Operational and Phantom Rooms and the Diagnostic Imaging Sector.


At present more than 1600 international students from more than 45 countries from around the world are being trained at MU-Varna. The major factors that attract the large number of international students are the special attention, devoted to the practical part of the training process, the commitment of the lecturers to knowledge acquisition and the accomplishment of each student, and the excellent training facilities. Upon graduation, they receive a European Diploma Supplement, which makes them competitive all over the continent.
