The Day of the Russian Diplomacy was celebrated on 11.02.2019 in Varna. The programme included laying down wreathes of flowers in front of Count Nikolai Ignatiev’s monument and the memorial plaque of the first Vice Consul of Russia in Varna Alexander Rachinski.
His Excellency Anatoliy Makarov - General Consul of the Russian Federation in Bulgaria, Mr Vladimir Klimanov - General Consul of Russia in Varna, Mr Andrei Gromov - General Consul of Russia in Russe, Mr Ivan Portnih – Mayor of Varna, Governor Mr Stoyan Pasev, Mr Todor Balabanov – Chairman of the Municipality Council took part in the ceremony together with representatives of political parties, the academic community and nongovernmental organisations.
Vice Rector for International Relations Prof. Todorka Kostadinova extended congratulations on behalf of the Rector of the Medical University of Varna Prof. Dr. Krasimir Ivanov and declared her deep satisfaction with the long-standing coopetration with the General Consulate of the Russian Federation in Varna for the realization of the summer practices and exchange with partner universities from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Chelyabinsk, Ekaterininburg, Kursk, Penza, etc.
This year we are celebrating 140 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Russia.
