Guidelines and useful information on the application procedures and opportunities provided by Erasmus + Programme were presented at Medical University - Varna on a specially organized information day. It is a part of a campaign aimed at raising the awareness of undergraduate students, PhD students, academic and administrative staff at the University on mobility opportunities, both training and practice-oriented, offered by the programme.
Prof. Todorka Kostadinova - institutional coordinator of Erasmus + Programme at Medical University-Varna opened the meeting. She acquainted the audience with the objectives, mission and general guidelines of the programme activities.
"Erasmus+ has opened its doors to a greater number of countries. It provides more opportunities for integrated teams, helps young people and everyone working in the field of science and education to speak one common language in order to improve and equalize the quality of work, patient safety and the environment where we work," said Prof. Kostadinova. She introduced to the guests the University team in charge of the Programme, including coordinators from all structures of MU-Varna.
Then Prof. Bistra Galunska from the Department of Biochemistry, Molecular Medicine and Nutrigenomics, who is an institutional Bologna expert of the University, talked about her longtime experience in Erasmus +.
Lecturers and students, who have participated in the mobility programme, shared their experience from their stay abroad, which provoked a great interest.
The guests at the event were given information and advertising materials, as well as detailed information on the results achieved in the period 2001-2016. 51 students and 8 lecturers from the University took part in the mobility programme during the academic year 2015-2016. The internships last from 2 to 9 months, and most of the students are sent to Germany, Turkey, Italy and Poland.
At the end of the information meeting, the numerous participants had an opportunity to ask questions and receive expert answers to all topics related to Erasmus +.
