On 8th November (Tuesday) at 6:00 pm, at First Auditorium of Medical University – Varna, Prof. Dr. Igor Resnick is going to deliver an informative lecture entitled "Modern Methods of Bone Marrow Transplantation".
Prof. Resnick's lecture will launch the Organ Donation campaign, which is to be held in Varna for a consecutive year. Its organizers are Medical University - Varna, the Student Council, Association of Medical Students in Bulgaria (AMSB), Association of Students of Dental Medicine (ASDM) and Association of Students of Pharmacy in Varna.
The lecture will be in English, and it is intended for undergraduate, doctoral, postgraduate students and medical doctors, as well as for citizens interested in the topic.
In Bulgaria more than 1000 people are on the organ transplant waiting list, the number of couples with fertility problems is approximately 145 000, and more than 100 people are in need of stem cell transplant.
