The 13th National Conference on
e-Education "E-skills of the New Digital Generation" took place in
Sofia on 26th October 2017. The event was held with the support of
the Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria and with the
assistance of the Ministry of Education and Science.
Medical University "Prof. Dr.
Paraskev Stoyanov" - Varna was presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivan
Merdzhanov, Director of Centre for Electronic and Distance Learning and Mrs.
Iskra Kalcheva, Consultant for Electronic and Distance Learning at the Centre.
They made a joint presentation on "The Electronic Platform as a Part of
the University Infrastructure and as a Tool for Developing the Interactive Component
in the Training", demonstrating innovative approaches and functionalities
in the development of e-courses within the University's learning platform.
The presented e-infrastructure models
and methods of e-processing of the curriculum prompted the interest of the
audience and continued in the form of fruitful discussions with the
representatives of the other higher schools, participating at the forum.
During the conference on e-education,
special attention was paid to the development of innovative educational
technologies and their role in adapting the educational system to the digital
generation.
The main topics were focused on the
development of digital skills in primary, secondary, higher schools and
colleges, related to a follow-up realization, cooperation between educational
institutions and businesses, and the opportunities for improving the
competitiveness of young people in Bulgaria and providing the much needed for the
business ICT specialists.
The event was attended by
representatives of a number of leading higher schools in Bulgaria.
