The fifth-year medical students from the English-language training programme at MU-Varna Shahsuar Arif and Zarina Brady participated at the annual European Congress of Neurosurgery, which took place from 24th to 28th September in Dublin (Ireland). Both students, for whom this has been the 13th participation at international scientific congresses, prepared and made their own presentations. Shahsuar Arif presented the topic “Burr-Hole Assisted Evacuation of Subacute Haematomas” during the Endoscopic Techniques congress session, and Zarina Brady presented “Transphenoid Endoscopic Endonasal Surgery in Cavity Disease: Surgical Experience” during the Neuro-Oncology session.
Both students thanked for the assistance during the preparation of the presentations to Prof. Yavor Enchev and all neurosurgeons at UMHAT “St. Marina” - Varna and the Department of Neurosurgery at MU-Varna, as well as to the Department of Neurosurgery at the Royal College of Surgery in Dublin, Ireland.
