The Faculty of Dental Medicine at Varna Medical University organizes the first academic course in dental implantology for dental medicine physicians with Master's qualification. The course is part of the postgraduate programme offered by the Medical University and will be conducted for the first time in our country.
The training consists of 5 modules, each of which comprising 2 full academic days (8 academic hours) and will be held at an interval of 2 months. Every level includes practical seminars and clinical demonstrations. The training will take place at the weekends on the premises and with the modern equipment of the Faculty of Dental Medicine. In order to obtain a certificate for a successfully completed course in dental implantology the participants will have to sit for a final test.
"For the clinical demonstrations and the practical seminars we will also use the new University Dental Centre which will be completed for the beginning of the course", added the Course Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. S. Peev, PhD. The Centre is being built within the framework of an Operational programme "Competitiveness" project, which was won by the University and amounts to 2 million leva. Beside Assoc. Prof. Dr. S. Peev, PhD, among the professors from the Faculty of Dental Medicine who will take part in the training will be Acad. Prof. N. Popov, Assoc. Prof. T. Georgiev and Assoc. Prof. M. Abadjiev, etc.
The tuition fee for each level/module is 650 leva.
For the first module which will take place on 18th and 19th January 2014, the group limit is 8-12 course participants and the deadline for enrollment is 9th January 2014.
