Medical University - Varna organizes an
eight-day course on Qualitative Research Methods in Scientific Research. The main
lecturer will be Prof. Susan Rifkin from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical
Medicine.
Prof. Rifkin is a world-renowned
specialist in the field of Public Health and Project Management, a consultant
to the World Health Organization, World Bank, European Union and UNICEF.
After many years of working in Asia,
Europe and Africa, she visited for the first time the region of Southeast
Europe and in particular - Bulgaria in 2014 as a guest lecturer at Medical
University – Varna, at the invitation of the Dean of the Faculty of Public
health Assoc. Prof. Emanuela Mutafova. Impressed with her first visit, Prof.
Rifkin warmly accepted the initiative to organize courses exactly at MU-Varna.
The main objective of the training is to
improve the qualification of the academic staff, PhD and undergraduate students
from MU-Varna. Moreover, individuals and institutions outside the University
will also have a chance to attend the lectures. The course is to be held from
31 May to 9 June 2016, except Saturday and Sunday. The place and time for the
classes will be specified on 30 May 2016.
