For a fifth consecutive year the students from the State Medical University "I. M. Sechenov" were on a summer practice at MU-Varna. Fifteen students from the Moscow University were awarded certificates for the successful completion of their practice on an official awarding ceremony held on Friday (17.07.2015). The students conducted their clinical internships on the training facilities of the Faculties of Medicine, Dental Medicine and Public Health at MU-Varna in the course of two weeks. On Sunday, fifteen students from MU-Varna left for Moscow in order to conduct their summer practice on a reciprocal basis in the partner university.
Five students of medicine, seven students of dental medicine and three students of pharmacy were trained under the experienced guidance of Assoc. Prof. Branimir Kanazirev, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Georgi Papanchev and Assoc. Prof. Ilian Kolev during the last two weeks. All of them received certificates form Prof. Zlatislav Stoyanov – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Mrs. Aneta Dokova – Head of the Department of International Relations which organizes the exchange between the two universities.
Besides the magnificent impressions from the high academic level and excellent organization, the students had the opportunity to get acquainted with the history of the First Bulgarian kingdom while visiting the medieval capital Veliki Preslav. The Students' Council actively contributed to the pleasant stay of their Moscow colleagues.
The students' exchange with Northwestern State Medical University "I.I. Mechnikov" in St. Petersburg will be carried out for a second consecutive year. On August 3rd 2015, MU-Varna expects a group of five students of medicine and two students of public health lead by Prof. Dr. Nikolai Macievskii – a leading specialist at the Department of Science Organization and Development at the University in St. Petersburg.
