Students across the Country Took Part at the Symposium for Young Researchers at MU-Varna

More than 200 students from all medical universities in the country took part in the third edition of the "The Black Sea Symposium for Young Scientists in Biomedicine" (BSYSB), which was hosted by MU-Varna from 26 to 29 March.

Each year the interest in this event, organized by the students of MU-Varna (the Student Council, the Association of Medical Students, the Association of Dental Students and the Association of Students of Pharmacy) has been growing. Bulgarian and international students from the medical universities across the country took part with 105 reports on topics and issues in the field of Medicine, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy and Public Health, which were organized in 11 sessions. (For comparison, the number of abstracts was 65 last year).

During the opening of the event the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Albena Kerekovska welcomed the participants on behalf of the Rector of Varna Prof. Krasimir Ivanov with the words "Every great advance in science has issued from a new audacity of imagination. Therefore, dear young scientists, have the audacity to dream, to challenge yourselves, to pursue your dreams! Reach out to new and unknown horizons - in the name of Science and Mankind!"
