One of the most reputable professional events, organized by the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Union, the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Days, under the title "Socially Significant Diseases - the Role of the Master of Pharmacy" waheld on 20th and 21st June 2015. The Faculty of Pharmacy at Medical University - Varna took part both in the scientific programme and in the exhibition by presenting its own exhibition stand which provoked keen interest.
Assoc. Prof. Bistra Galunska, Assoc. Prof. Evgeni Grigorov and Assist. Prof. Ivo Kumanov made presentations in the scientific programme. The lectures were focused on the fields of "Pharmacy and Clinic", "Biopharmacy and Biotechnology" and "Regulation and Economy". In her lecture "Vitamin K: Outside the Haemostasis", Assoc. Prof. Galunska acquainted the audience with new data on Vitamin K2, which are not related to its traditional functions as a coagulation factor. Assoc. Prof. Grigorov presented modern aspects of hospital pharmacy in his lecture "Hospital Pharmacy - Present and Prospects". One of the highlights at the event was the practice-oriented lecture of Assist. Prof. Ivo Kumanov: "Osteoporosis - the Role of the Master of Pharmacy for Prevention and Consultation," which offered the forum participants a new concept of influencing this issue.
