The reforms in the health systems of the EU countries, Switzerland, Norway, the USA, Canada and Australia was one of the major topics at the annual meeting of Health Systems and Policy Monitor - HSPM ( http://www.hspm.org/mainpage.aspx ) of the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies, held on 30 and 31 October, which was attended by representatives of MU-Varna.
Our University was represented by Assoc. Prof. Antonia Dimova and Ch. Assist. Prof. Maria Rohova from the Faculty of Public Health. Besides the representatives of the other member states of HSPM this year's meeting was also attended by a representative of the European Commission.
The EU Directive on cross-border healthcare and its impact on national health systems as well as models for integrated care and prospects for health insurance were among the issues discussed.
Medical University - Varna is the only Bulgarian representative at HSPM, at the invitation of the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies from 2013.
