Тhe Second International Workshop on Anti-Terrorism Is to Be Held in June

The Second International Workshop on Anti-Terrorism is to be held at University Hospital "St. Marina" – Varna, from 9th to 12th June. The event is organized by Medical University - Varna in cooperation with the Bulgarian Red Cross, the University Hospitals in Jerusalem and Haifa and the Embassy of Israel to Bulgaria.

Prominent experts from Israel, the USA, Sweden, Romania and Russia will be guest-lecturers at the workshop. Among them are distinguished experts in mass riots, natural disasters and terrorism from Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem and the University Hospital in Haifa. The event will also be attended by a leading expert on these issues from the US Embassy and the Director of Anti-Terrorism Department at Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden. The Director of the Romanian Emergency Aid will also be a guest-lecturer at the workshop. He will acquaint the participants with the unique model of the structure and operation of the Emergency Aid in our northern neighbour. The Israeli Ambassador will provide his expertise on this hot topic of the modern world as well.

The workshop will provide lectures, theoretical, practical drills and coordination and organization tests for the activities of the various institutions in response to natural disasters, mass riots and terrorist attacks.

The opening ceremony will take place on 10 June at 9:00 am, in Auditorium "Prof. Vladimir Ivanov", at University Hospital "St. Marina" – Varna. Then the event will go on with the sessions according to the Programme.
