New Opportunities for Financing Projects in the Field of Healthcare

An information day was held on 3rd April 2015 at MU-Varna, on the occasion of the launch of Programme BG07 "Public Health Initiatives", under "Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area. Norwegian Financial Mechanism", with the Ministry of Health as the Programme Operator. 

 

A team of International Projects Department at the Ministry of Health, headed by Dr. Elvira Foteva, presented to Varna public and stakeholders the opportunities provided by the new Grant Programme and the measures to be applied for by the participants.

 

The total amount of the call for proposals for project funding is 5 347 000 euro, and the deadline for application is 30th of April 2015, 17.00 h.



The applicants - state psychiatric hospitals, municipalities, NGOs, healthcare establishments for hospital help, healthcare establishments for outpatient care - can apply for the following measures:

Measure 1: Improvement of the mental health care system for Bulgarian citizens

Measure 2: Improved access to quality sexual and reproductive health services for adolescents (10-19 years of age), with a specific focus on vulnerable groups, in particular Roma and people living in remote areas

Measure 5: Improved quality and access to care for children with mental, genetic and onco-haematologic diseases (with emphasis on children suffering from cerebral palsy, cardio-vascular diseases, autism, young people with nutritional disorders) and somatic impairment  caused by infectious diseases (such as poliomyelitis, bacterial meningitis, morbili, TB, HIV/AIDS, etc.)

Measure 6: Delivery of health services through a homecare approach to pregnant women and children up to 3 years old for groups at risk with a focus on Roma

Minimum and maximum amount of the grant assistance per project:

-      from 170 000 to 300 000 euro for projects under measure 1

-      from 170 000 to 340 000 euro for projects under measures 2, 5 и 6

The coordinated action of the teams of the Ministry of Health and MU-Varna for the organization of the information day in Varna once again shows the importance of cooperation and good communication for the general progress in project application and management.
