On 24th
May Medical University - Varna will take part in the traditional procession on the
occasion of the Day of Slavonic Alphabet, Bulgarian Enlightenment and Culture.
The academic management of MU-Varna invites all students, academic and
administrative staff to join the parade, which will start from the Cathedral
“The Assumption of Holy Mother”. Its beginning is scheduled for 10:00 am. The chimes
of the cathedral’s bells and the releasing of balloons in the air will signal
the start of the procession.The
celebration will be launched with a folklore composition performed by 200
students from Elin Pelin Secondary School. 10 000 students and teachers from 52
schools in the seaside capital, as well as children from the Municipal Children
Complex are going to march in the procession.
After
the first bell chimes, more than 2 000 university students, academic and
administrative staff of the University of Economics, College of Tourism,
Medical University, Technical University, Varna Free University and the Naval
Academy are going to join the parade. The procession of Varna universities will
go on with a festive programme on a special stage in the Sea garden.Parents
are also expected to join the holiday event. For a second year children from
Moscow, who are relaxing at Sanatorium and Health Complex Kamchia, are going to
take part in the procession as well.By
tradition, distinguished cultural figures, awarded with Varna Prize, are to
take part in the event.On
24 May the cultural institutions in Varna will be

Club and others.
