Outstanding Students at MU-Varna with Awards from Varna Municipality

By tradition, the most distinguished students at the Varna higher educational institutions have been awarded at an official ceremony at the Municipality of Varna for the thirteenth year in a row. The event took place on 16th December 2019.
It was attended by representatives of universities, municipal councilors and members of the academic community. They congratulated the awarded students and wished them the satisfaction with their success to become an impetus for them for gaining new knowledge.
There were three students at MU-Varna among the prize-winners. Magdalena Bliznakova, a 6th-year medical student at MU-Varna, was awarded by the Municipality of Varna with a prize in the field of Sports and Health for winning the third place at the scientific poster session at the International Congress of Medical Sciences (ICMS) in Sofia.
Gabriela Panayotova, a 6th-year student in Medicine at MU - Varna, was awarded for her participation at the conference "My Profession in 2040 - Prospects for the Development of the Higher School in Bulgaria" in April 2019, where she was ranked first for her own clinical study, entitled "The Effect of Contract Duration on Primary Symptoms of Depression and Anxiety in Seafarers".
In the field of Humanities, the student in the Master's programme "Protection and Control of Public Health" - Tyulyay Ibrahim was awarded for her thesis entitled "Public Awareness and Control of Parabens in Dermocosmetics", with a supervisor Prof. Dr. Lora Georgieva.

The awards were presented for academic excellence in various fields of science and for achieving high results in the respective fields. The aim is to encourage and promote the achievements of young scientists in the society.

For the students, this award is a recognition and appreciation for their efforts and time, giving them personal satisfaction with the results achieved.
