The diplomas for the occupied academic positions for the
second half of the year were awarded at a formal Academic Council on 19th
December.
The Rector Prof. Dr. Krasimir Ivanov opened the ceremony in Auditorium
"Prof. Vladimir Ivanov" at St. Marina University Hospital - Varna. He
expressed his gratitude to everyone who has contributed to the fact that the University
is among the leading educational institutions in the country and addressed the
audience with the words, "Everything
we have achieved wouldn’t have been a fact without the collective efforts of every
one of you. That is why I‘d like to thank you! On the eve of Christmas holidays
I wish you and your families bright days head, joy, peace and prosperity."
70 people altogether received their diplomas. Seven of them are
lecturers who have defended the academic rank of "Professor" and 25 -
"Associate Professor". 32 people received the educational and scientific
degree "Doctor", and six people acquired the scientific degree
"Doctor of Sciences".
Thus MU-Varna marked the finale of the highly successful 2016.
