The International Students at MU-Varna Are Getting Acquainted with Bulgarian History and Traditions

At the beginning of October, all the newly admitted international students at MU-Varna set off for a trip to the old capital of Bulgaria - Veliko Tarnovo. Students had the opportunity to learn about the history, architecture, nature and traditional cuisine of Veliko Tarnovo Region. The trip, which took place from 29th September to 1st October, is the final stage of the Orientation Week for our international students.

Fortress Tsarevets tour and the promenade along the Samovodska charshia bazaar impressed international students with the abundance of colors and authentic atmosphere. On the following day the students had the opportunity to get familiar with the history of Renaissance Tryavna, the Architectural-Ethnographic Complex "Etar", followed by a visit to Dryanovo Monastery "St. Archangel Michael". "Shipka-Buzludzha" National park-museum, reminiscent of one of the most epic moments of Bulgarian history, was also a part of the excursion itinerary.

MU-Varna is the University with the most explicitly expressed international character among the medical universities in the country. Approximately 1 200 international students, representatives of over 40 countries, are being trained here.

Medical University - Varna takes this opportunity to express its gratitude to the Bulgarian and international students for their active and dedicated involvement in the organization and implementation of the Orientation Week for the newly admitted international students.
