Today, 2nd June, on the occasion of the Day of Botev and in memory of the heroes who died for the freedom of Bulgaria, the Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Rinaldo Shishkov and representatives of the Student Council laid wreaths on behalf of Medical University-Varna.
A memorial sermon and a wreath-laying ceremony were held at the monument dedicated to the great Bulgarian revolutionary and poet in the Sea Garden of Varna. All administrative structures in the Sea Capital, NGOs, cultural institutions and citizens paid tribute to the great Bulgarian Hristo Botev with a minute of silence and laying of flowers.
Children from "Hristo Botev" Kindergarten and students from "Hristo Botev" Secondary School in Varna, dressed in costumes, resembling Botev's rebels, paid homage to those who have perished so that freedom may live.
