The Medical University of Varna will host 3rd International Conference within the project "Joint Action for Health Workforce Planning and Forecasting" to "Health" Programme of the European Commission which is to be held on 18th and 19th February 2016. The team of Work Package 7 – Sustainability, in which experts from MU – Varna play a main part, is co-organiser of the event, which will take place in the "International " Hotel in the "Golden Sands" resort. The two days of the conference will go under the heading "Planning and Training of Medical Specialists without Borders". Guest from all over Europe will participate in the event - international experts in the field of human resources in healthcare, politicians, representatives of professional and branch organisations.
Topical issues and problems will be considered and discussed during the various fora at national and world level concerning the impact of health professionals' mobility on health systems, the effects of the demographic changes on the needs for health services and the trends in the future training of the human resources in healthcare. The conference will offer an opportunity for sharing of experience, knowledge and good practices among the project participants and other stakeholders.
The main goals of the conference will be to align the establishment of a platform for joint work and dialogue on burning issues in the field of health workforce and encouragement of the intersectoral dialogue between healthcare and education from a national and European perspective.
