For the first time in Bulgaria, MU-Varna provides an opportunity for young specialists, doctoral students and everyone interested in the possibilities and achievements in the field of Medical Genetics to attend remotely one of the most elite training courses in this field - 29 Course in Medical Genetics. The course will be held in Bertinoro, Italy, 8 – 12 May 2016, under the auspices of the European Society of Human Genetics (ESHG). The training at Medical University - Varna will be conducted in the form of distance lectures, broadcast directly online, in English without translation, and a discussion with the lecturers. Course leaders are Prof. H. Brunner (Nijmegen, the Netherlands), Prof. G. Romeo (Bologna, Italy), Prof. B. Wirth (Cologne, Germany), and the lecturers are European experts in the field of human genome analysis, clinical and molecular genetics, epigenetics, preimplantation screening and diagnosis, ethical issues in genomics, etc.
The programme includes lectures from 10 am to 2 pm (local time) and a local programme from 3 pm to 5 pm in the halls of the Medical University and the Medical College.
The event is supported by Medical University – Varna - Department of Medical Genetics, the Bulgarian Society of Human Genetics and private sector partners, and it is fee-free. Everyone who has signed up in advance and attended the course will receive a certificate of participation, issued by the organizers of the European Society of Human Genetics.
