The opportunities for the development of the academic cooperation, student mobility, improving the conditions for conducting summer internships, as well as working on joint scientific programmes and projects were the focus of the working visit that representatives of Medical University - Varna paid to the North-Western State Medical University named after I.I Mechnikov, in St. Petersburg, Russia.
On 24th and 25th July, Prof. Todorka Kostadinova, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, and Vanya Marinova, International Cooperation expert, together with Assoc. Prof. Evgeni Grigorov, Dr. Ekaterina Valcheva and Aleksandar Donchev, leaders of the group of students from MU-Varna, who are having their summer internship at the partner University, had a meeting with Prof. Sergei Saiganov, the Rector of the North-Western State Medical University named after I.I Mechnikov. During the visit, there were meetings with Dr. Tatyana Zhelninova, Head of the International Activities and Projects Department, Ksenia Nagornina, Head of the International Department, Ekaterina Ryabinina, International Activities coordinator, Evgeniay Lavrova, International Activities specialist, Prof. Fedor Romanyuk, Dean of the Faculty of Pediatrics and Prof. Irek Akubova, from the Department of Pediatrics.
There were also separate meetings with the students from MU-Varna, who are having their summer internship at the Russian University from 22nd July to 2nd August, in accordance with the academic cooperation agreements between MU-Varna and the North-Western State Medical University named after I.I Mechnikov.
The hosts were invited to participate at the International Partnership Forum at MU-Varna, which is to be held for the fourth consecutive year from 26th to 27th September 2019 in Varna.
