Students from the Affiliate of Medical
University - Varna in Shumen took part with reports at the 4th National Student
Session with international participation "Health Care in the 21st Century
- Trends and Prospects", held on 24 and 25 March 2016 in Pleven.
The first year students Neshe
Mustafova and Yavor Andreev, majoring in Nursing, presented а
report on "Origin
and Vaccination for Smallpox in the World and in Bulgaria", and their
colleagues, majoring in Midwifery - Desislava Zafirova and Maria Zhecheva
presented "The Profession of a Midwife in Shumen - Retrospect and Prospects".In their first scientific
participation, the students were supported by their course leaders – Assist.
Prof. Dr. Tamara Tsvetkova and Assist. Prof. Teodora Evtimova, as well as by
the Director of Affiliate Shumen - Prof. Sonya Toncheva, PhD, who was one of
the main lecturers at the conference with a plenary report on "Innovative Approaches
to Serving Chronically Ill Patients".
