Students from Medical University - Varna took part at 10th International Forum on ENT Diseases, which was held within 87th Annual Meeting of the German Society of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.
The forum was held in Düsseldorf, Germany. It included a lecture course, discussions, a poster session, a presentation of the latest technologies, equipment and supplies, as well as satellite sessions, in which German-Chinese and German-Spanish projects in the field of ENT diseases were presented.
Participants from Europe, Asia, Africa, North and Latin America discussed important issues related to early diagnosis and treatment of socially significant diseases in the field of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.
Medical University - Varna was represented by five medical students and a specialist on ENT diseases. Every one of them presented a poster on a different topic. The academic supervisor of the presented posters was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nikolay Sapundzhiev from the Department of Neurosurgery and ENT Diseases at MU-Varna.
"Undoubtedly, the benefits of this participation are great. On the one hand, we had the opportunity to get acquainted with the level of development of medicine, and in particular the field of ENT diseases in Germany. It was interesting to witness how such an event is being organised, to communicate with a huge number of participants from dozens of countries, to enrich our knowledge with the lectures and reports by world-renowned specialists. We were profoundly impressed by the presentation of the most advanced technology, equipment and supplies, some of which have not been officially presented and launched on the market yet," said the participants.
