PhD Student at MU-Varna Awarded with a Participation Scholarship for the Greatest European Congress on Biochemistry

Assist. Prof. Galya Mihaylova, a full-time Ph.D. student at the Department of Biochemistry, Molecular Medicine and Nutrigenomics, was awarded with a participation scholarship for the 44th Congress of the Federation of European Biochemical Societies (44th Congress of FEBS). Within the framework of the congress which was held from 6th to 11th July, in Krakow (Poland), Assist. Prof. Mihailova presented the outcomes of the joint work with a French team on a project entitled "Autoimmune Response to Plasma Proteins of the Innate Immune System" financed by the Research fund at MES, headed by Assoc. Prof. Maria Radanova, Ph.D. Assist. Prof. Galya Mihaylova participated at the congress also with a poster entitled "Characterization of the prevalence, functional consequences and disease associations of autoantibodies against the positive complement regulator properdin in patients with lupus nephritis".
