The students of Medical University - Varna celebrated 8thDecember at a spectacular five-star party. The event was organized by the Student Council, with the support of the Academic Management. Doychin Nikolov, the president of the Student Council, officially opened the celebration, while Dr. Boris Andonov congratulated the audience.
The students of MU-Varna had great fun in the hilarious company of the showmen Dimitar Rachkov and Vasil Vasilev – Zueka, who were leading the party. The pop singer Ditcho and his band charged the celebrating more than six hundred students with an awesome mood and positive emotions. Throughout the entire evening, DJ Happy and DJ Ivo took care of the festive mood, while the famous trio Ice Cream exhilarated all present with their performances. Monti, Ica and Martina sang the songs of their fabulous repertoire at the party at Grand Hotel International. Three multimedia screens displayed the celebration in both halls to make all participants totally committed to the party. The finale of the evening was marked by spectacular fireworks.
For the first time 8th December was celebrated as a Students' Day 112 years ago. In 1944 the celebration of 8th December was cancelled. It was celebrated on 17th November, the International Students' Solidarity Day. In 1962 the celebration on 8thDecember was restored, and in 1994 a decision was passed 8th December to be a non-attendance academic day and holiday of the Bulgarian students. Only in Bulgaria has this holiday been celebrated on that date.
