MU-Varna has introduced Sailing as an optional sport discipline to the obligatory training in Sports for 1st and 2nd year students.
The training will be conducted from 10th March to 26th May (Saturdays and Sundays only), including 10 hours of lectures and 20 hours of practice.
Groups:
- 1st group - Introduction to Sailing - for beginners, in English language
- 2nd group - Sailing - Improvement - for advanced students, in English
- 3rd group - Introduction to Sailing – for beginners, in Bulgarian language
The enrollment will be carried out from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm from 12th to 16th February, until all places have been filled in.
Students can apply at Room "Sailing" at Cap. Angel Dipchikov (Sports Hall at MU - Varna, the first door on the left, Room "Sailing").
One of the most
ancient ways to travel by water is by means of a sail. For thousands of
years people have perfected this ship engine. By the early 19th century,
when the steam engine appeared, the whole world trade by sea was
carried out by sailing ships. Extremely popular abroad, today sailing is
called the sport of the rich and famous. MU - Varna provides
opportunities for everyone willing to take advantage of the benefits
offered by this sport.
