The Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology at MU - Varna was established in 2001. The self-existent up to then Department of Physiology and Department of Pathophysiology were merged into a new department, incorporating two educational research sectors - ERS in Physiology and ERS in Pathophysiology. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Negrin Negrev is the first Head of the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology. The main priorities of the Department are the academic and research activities. The outlined in this regard department objectives are in line with the main objective of MU-Varna - preparation of medical professionals, dental medics and pharmacists in accordance with the latest scientific achievements and universal human values.
