The Department of Clinical Medical Sciences was
established in 2006. Its first and present head is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vladimir
Kadinov. Initially the Department staff consisted of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krasimira
Nenova, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sv. Balev,
Assoc. Prof. Dr. L. Havezova, Dr. R. Zorcheva, Assoc. Prof. Dr. S. Glinkov,
Assoc. Prof. D. Bliznakova, Dr. Rumyana Ralcheva, Dr. Hr. Hristozova, Dr. T.
Kiryazova, Dr. Tihomir Petrov, Dr. Miglena Stamboliyska, Dr. Arpine Kirkorova.
Later (2010), Dr. Trifon Chervenkov joined the Department.
The educational scientific sector (ESS) of Internal
Medicine at the Department of Clinical Medical Sciences of FDM originated after
the establishment of the Faculty in 2006. In 2013 the sectors of Neurology and
Psychiatry were incorporated in the structure of the ESS, and it was renamed to
“ESS of Internal Medicine, Neurology and Psychiatry”.
