Asst. Baneva graduate from Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski", specialy "Medical and Radiation Physics and technique ". Since 2008 she has been an asst.prof. at the Department of Medical Physics and Biophysics at the Medical University - Varna. She has attended many trainings, like- of the European Network for Training and Education of Medical Physics Experts - MPE05: Anthropomorphic phantoms for optimization of dose and image quality in radiology and MPE09: Achieving higher quality in breast X-ray imaging. Participant in the "Three-dimensional models of breast tumours for new breast cancer detection technologies" (MaXIMA), under the European program "Horizon 2020", "Innovative method for quality control of X-ray devices" funded by the Science Fund to the Medical University Varna.
Her research interests are in the field of medical physics and in particular - imaging diagnostics, radiation protection, dosimetry, study of image quality in contrast-enhanced spectral mammography."
