On behalf of the Orientation Committee, we would like to congratulate you on your acceptance to Medical University of Varna. We are planning a week (starting from September 25 to September 29th, 2013) full of activities to help you feel more comfortable in your new environment.
The orientation committee is compelled to aid new students as best as we can, and we would like to encourage any questions you may have.

Presenting the orientation week committee and first year instructors; introducing the class of 2019! (Students will be asked to introduce themselves); Overview of the curriculum, Program Evaluation, Academic Policies;
12:00 – 13:00 – Lunch break
13:00-15:00 Speech by the senior students (medical student advisers); presenting the Student Union at Medical University of Varna
19:00 – Official welcoming party at Medical University of Varna

9:00 – 12:00 Visit to the University departments and academic buildings;
12:00 – 13:00 Lunch break
13:30-16:00 Visit to the University hospital "St. Marina"
Friday, 27, 28, 29 September 2013
Excursion to famous Bulgarian places. The tour will get you acquainted with the ancient history of Bulgaria. You will have the chance to enjoy the beautiful nature, the delicious national cuisine, the taste of Bulgarian wine.

Transport costs will be covered by the University;
Accommodation costs will be covered by the participants/students.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
- The orientation week will be held at the II-nd Auditorium on the third floor of the main building of the University - 55 Marin Drinov Street, Varna.
- Your participation in the Orientation week is not obligatory although it is strongly recommendable!
- Before your arrival to Bulgaria find out if your medical health insurance covers Bulgaria. If not you can make one here in Bulgaria but it is obligatory requirement to have medical health insurance during all your years of studies at the University!
- Medical University of Varna reserves its right to implement any changes in the orientation week schedule!
The final schedule would be announced by 16 September 2013
