Meet “The Green Yard of Varna"

The Scientific and Practical Conference "The Green Yard in the Field of Parenting and Early Childhood Development. Françoise Dolto's Intellectual Heritage" is to be held on 7th October at Second Auditorium at MU - Varna.

The conference is the first event under a project, initiated by the Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology at the Faculty of Public Health, with the support of the French Institute in Bulgaria. The aim of the project is to create a Centre for Early Socialization and Prevention of Children Aged 0-3 Years. "The Green Yard", following the example of hundreds of similar centres in the world, will be a special place for the youngest and their parents. In a cozy and peaceful environment, in the presence of professionals, monitoring the child behavior, the children are going to make their first steps in socialization, and the parents will be able to get advice from psychologists, speech therapists, pediatricians, pedagogy specialists. The Centre will adapt, implement and develop the ideas of the French psychoanalyst and a pioneer in the child analysis Françoise Dolto and of the already established Bulgarian experience at the founded in 2015 such Centre in Sofia.

The meeting is open to a wide range of specialists - medical (doctors, nurses, midwives, rehabilitators), and non-medical (psychologists, speech therapists, social workers, teachers, pedagogy specialists, students) as well as to the parents of the youngest. The Scientific and Practical Conference is essential for the presentation of the project to the Varna public. Its main goal is to familiarize the experts with Françoise Dolto's ideas and to create a team that will begin the specific work under the project.
