A delegation from Tokai University was on an official visit to MU – Varna. The Japanese university is one of the large private universities in Japan and has a medical school. The delegation was headed by Prof. Kazunari Yoshida – Vice Chancellor and Dean of the School of Engineering and welcomed by Prof. Albena Kerekovska - Vice Rector for Students' Affairs of MU-Varna. She introduced the multinational students' family, emphasizing the traditional academic links with Japan, the Japanese students' interest in getting training at the Medical University of Varna and the interest of the Bulgarian members of academic staff in research and specialisations in universities in the Country of the Rising Sun. The specific fields of cooperation are to yet to be discussed and included in an agreement for academic collaboration and exchange between the two universities.
