Lecturer at MU-Varna Has Become the first Bulgarian to Be Awarded with the Prize of the Japanese Society of Psychiatry and Neurology
The Conference of the Japanese Society of Psychiatry and Neurology (JSPN) was held in Nagoya (Japan), on 22-25 June 2017.

Dr. Svetlin Varbanov, Assistant Professor of Forensic Psychiatry at the Department of Psychiatry and Medical Psychology at MU - Varna, was honoured with the prestigious JSPN Fellowship Award. He is the first Bulgarian awarded with this prestigious prize.



The award was established in 2006, and ever since it has been awarded annually to prominent young scientists in the field of psychiatry from around the world.

Dr. Varbanov presented a report on Social Attitudes to Suicide and New Perspectives in Prevention, including the results of his own research, at the forum, which was attended by more than 7 000 psychiatrists and psychologists from Japan and the whole world.
