A festive carnival procession of masks, masquerade, theatrical and folk costumes will be held on 22nd February 2015 in Varna, organized by the Municipality of Varna on the occasion of the folk celebration Sirni Zagovezni (Shrove Sunday / Cheese Fasting).
The procession will start at 4.30 pm from St. St. Cyril and Methodius Square. (in front of the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin). Then it will proceed to Maria Louisa Blvd., from Varna Municipality it will go on to Slivnitsa Blvd., and finally it will reach the Sea Garden (next to FCC), where there will be a concert programme, games, attraction and variety shows.
The best masks, costumes and the most attractive ensembles will receive prizes.
The organizers pointed out that public premises will be available for the participants to change their clothes, as well as consultants in make up and costumes from the State Puppet Theatre, State Opera and Drama Theatre.
