The University Television Mu-Vi.TV was awarded with Special Diploma for Documentary Film, Special Award for Contribution to the Development of Humanitarian and Documentary Art, Special Jury Award and Award of the Union of Film Makers at the closing ceremony of the 16th International Festival of Red Cross and Health Films.
Special Diploma for Documentary Film was awarded to a film dedicated to donation, entitled The Freely Received, Freely Give, with the participation of Prof. Vilian Platikanov, the head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at St. Marina University Hospital - Varna.
Special Award for Contribution to the Development of Humanitarian and Documentary Art was awarded by Mrs. Denislava Angelova – the Baroness of Pleven to the film The Cause Diabetes, in which Prof. Dr. Violeta Yotova, the head of the First Pediatric Clinic at St. Marina University Hospital – Varna and the young patients' families put the stress on the problems of children with diabetes and insulin pump therapy.
Award of the Union of Film Makers (diploma and a money prize of 200 lev) was awarded to the film Holy Mother Pyre, director - Hristo Stoychev.
Special Jury Award – a plaque - was awarded to Mu-Vi.TV for being the first University Internet and Digital Television in our country.
Award on behalf of the Rector was awarded by Prof. Dr. Radoslav Radev to the film Precious Life, provided by the Israeli Embassy. The film tells the story of a 4-month-old Palestinian child, on whom a bone marrow transplant surgery had to be performed in an Israeli hospital. Set in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the film is a powerful appeal for peace, which reveals to the audience the challenges and prejudices that the specialists from the warring parties need to overcome in order to work side by side in the name of a noble cause.

THE MAYOR OF VARNA AWARD FOR SIGNIFICANT CREATIVE ACHIEVEMENT was awarded to the film Shooting Star, co-production Bulgaria/Italy, director- Lyubo Yonchev.
Special diploma was awarded to the Swiss Red Cross, which took part with the greatest number of films - 13, presenting the activities of the Red Cross around the world.
Special diploma was awarded also to the New Zealand Red Cross, whose representative had travelled 20 000 kilometers to present the activities of the Red Cross in Hawke's Bay.
Pursuant to the Regulations of the Festival, artistic unions, foundations, benefactors and other organizations are entitled to award their own prizes, provided by them. Here are the awards that were presented:
