Representatives of MU-Varna Took Part at an International Symposium Devoted to Scientific Journals

Representatives of MU-Varna attended the 3rd International Symposium of Scientific Journals, organized by Trakya University, Edirne (Turkey), which took place from 4^th to 6^th December 2018. A large team of MU-Varna, including representatives of the academic management, editors, reviewers, authors, the university publishing centre and the library, participated at the event, which was under the title "How to become successful authors and editors of scientific journals?"

The lecturers at the symposium - Pippa Smart, President of the European Association of Science Editors (EASE)  and Prof. Ana Marusic, former EASE President and Chair of the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), summed up the good practices and wrong policies when publishing a scientific paper and issuing a scientific journal.

The participation at the International Symposium is a part of the policy for enhancing the quality and visibility of periodicals, which MU -Varna has been pursuing for years. The idea is the future cooperation to continue with a forthcoming invitation to the lecturers to present the current guidelines for authors and editors of scientific journals to a wider audience at MU - Varna.
