Students from Medical Cosmetician Specialty on a Training Practice in the Bulgarian Valley of Roses

From 29 to May 30 second-year students from one of the most desirable specialties at MU-Varna - Medical Cosmetician are going to conduct a training practice in Kazanlak. The practice is organized for the third consecutive year as part of the compulsory curriculum. Future cosmeticians are going to visit rose oil producing plants in the Bulgarian Valley of Roses in order to get acquainted with the application of Bulgarian natural cosmetics in cosmetic procedures.

Medical Cosmetician is one of the most coveted majors at MU-Varna, which besides providing extensive training in Cosmetology, Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, also provides plenty of opportunities for career development on labour market. The graduates of this specialty are entitled to work in a beauty parlour, as a part of a team of a beauty parlour or a beauty centre, in dermatological, dermatological-cosmetic and physical-therapeutic centres, plastic surgery clinics, drug stores and perfumeries, Balneology, Wellness, SPA, Thalassotherapy centres and other beauty centres.

MU-Varna was the first University in the country to establish the specialty of Medical Cosmetician in 2011. This specialty is conducted in a regular form of training, lasting 3 years (six semesters). The first class of specialists of the educational and qualification degree "Professional Bachelor" graduated in 2014. The entrance examination in Biology for the specialty for 2014-2015 academic year will be held on 16 July 2015.
